Vacancies at Barrow Cadbury Trust

We currently have two vacancies at the Trust – Head of Migration, and Head of Communications.  Details of each post below and here is a link to our Privacy Statement which applies to both jobs. Salary and terms of conditions are the same for both posts.

  • We are an independent, endowed charitable foundation working with others to drive structural change that leads to a just and equal society for more than 100 years.
  • We want to effect long-term structural change through influencing, advocacy, campaigning, convening and research. Working in deep collaboration with partners, with a focus on helping build and sustain alliances and ecosystems for social change, we are also committed to supporting those directly affected by injustice to play a central role in advocating for change.

  • Hybrid working with an expectation that at least 2 days a week will be office/field-based. The Barrow Cadbury Trust office is in Vauxhall, London.
Head of Migration, 18 month fixed term contract, full-time

As Head of Migration you will manage an established grants programme that aims to support a fair and just immigration system and a more balanced migration debate. We are entering the final year of our current strategy and are looking for someone who will both manage the existing grants and partnerships and oversee an evaluation of our migration work to date, so that this learning can feed into the development of a new organisational strategy.  This role will be of interest if you are committed to social justice and want to help the Trust build on our work to make a real difference in tackling long-term structural inequality.

Head of Communications at Barrow Cadbury Trust, full-time

Our current Head of Communications is leaving in the Spring and we are looking for someone to replace her.  As Head of Communications you will develop and oversee communication strategy to help the Trust achieve its strategic objectives (which will be refreshed in 2026-7). You will also play an active role in promoting social justice messages, campaigns and learning, arising from our work and that of our partners. This role will be interesting for you if you are committed to learning about and communicating how social change happens, and if you want to help the Trust build on its work to make a real difference in tackling long-term structural inequality.
