Women for Refugee Women (WRW)
WRW is a longstanding funded partner of Barrow Cadbury Trust. The organisation creates change by empowering refugee women through its creative and educational activities, supporting women to build their confidence and skills. WRW influences policy makers by women telling their own stories, changing minds and building understanding about what it means to seek safety in the UK. WRW also supports refugee and asylum-seeking women to speak to the media and to parliamentarians and to campaign on issues such as immigration detention.
Working alongside refugee and asylum-seeking women in its network, WRW publishes robust research on the experiences of refugee women; works with policy makers to make the case for a fairer asylum process, and campaigns to make change happen.
