Head of External Affairs, Fair by Design

Camila joined Fair By Design in 2022. She has a background in communications, public affairs, policy and media relations in the not-for-profit, multilateral and private sectors in the UK and abroad.

Before joining Fair By Design, Camila worked in a UK professional membership body in women’s health, leading on external affairs activity to ensure Government, Parliament and the media prioritised women’s reproductive healthcare. She has also worked in communications, public affairs and policy in an international NGO and UN agency, as well as in media relations and communications in the private sector.

Camila holds an MSc in International Development and Management from Lund University, Sweden. Her Masters dissertation focussed on a new model of agrarian reform championed by the Brazilian Landless Rural Workers’ Movement (MST), the largest peasant movement in Latin America. The dissertation was nominated for the Hydén Awards for best thesis on socio-economic and political issues in developing countries.
