Asif joined the Trust in 2025 as Chief Executive. He is an experienced researcher and activist, working in UK civil society for over 25 years. He was previously Deputy CEO of brap, a national equality and human rights charity, and has a background in international human rights protection. He was a panel member for the 2018 Independent Inquiry into the Future of Civil Society in England.
