British Future’s ‘State of the Nation’ report 2013

The independent think tank British Future, which explores issues around identity, integration, migration and opportunity, has marked the New Year by releasing a report which includes extensive polling about the hopes and anxieties of British people.

‘State of the Nation: Where is Bittersweet Britain heading,’ finds public opinion more optimistic about the future of the country and economy than in 2012, with evidence that events such as the Olympics have helped make Britain more a united country. Yet is also highlights significant and widespread concerns over issues including immigration and inequality.
