Small charities and social change – a new report from IVAR
Small charities and social change aims to inspire small charities to speak out on the issues that those they support are facing. It asks how and why small charities are challenging and shaping policy, practice and attitudes, and makes recommendations for funders to recognise and support small charities in their vital social change work.
Through case studies of 11 small charities working in the fields of criminal justice, homelessness, migration and violence against women and girls, the report explores the challenges that many voluntary organisations are facing in this area, and makes recommendations on how small charities can do social change work well.
