Director, Fair by Design
Martin leads the Fair by Design team’s work to end the injustice of the Poverty Premium. With a background in consumer advocacy, grant-making and regulation Martin has held a range of positions, all with a common objective to place low income and vulnerable people at the heart of policy making.
Martin is a Commissioner for the Commission on Financial Inclusion. Previously he has been a board member of the Association of Charitable Foundations, the Nationwide Foundation and the Institute of Consumer Affairs, as well as a Commissioner for Scope’s Commission on Extra Costs for Disabled People.
Martin says: “It is just not fair that the poor pay more for everyday essentials. Working on the Fair by Design campaign provides the ideal opportunity to make markets fairer for all.”
