ACEVO publishes report on charity investments

‘Money for Good’ is the title of the report of the ACEVO Commission on Ethical and Responsible Charity Investments.  The report has been launched a year after BBC Panorama’s investigation of charity investment policies.  It examines the need for charities to manage their investments actively and to make decisions which best reflect their mission.  It proposes that charities should have ‘Responsibility to Reflect’ on their investments, where they are made and how they are managed.  It also proposes that larger foundations should have a ‘Responsibility to Innovate’, to use their large size and capacity for risk to ‘err on the side of innovation’ with their investment policies.
